What’s in the Proton VPN Black Friday Sale?
VPN Plus: 75% Off for 2 Years
This is the one most people want. The regular price is $9.99 a month. On Black Friday it drops to $2.49 a month, billed as $59.76 for the first 24 months. You get:
- Up to 10 devices at once
- 20,000+ servers in 140+ countries
- Streaming support and P2P servers
- NetShield ad, tracker and malware blocker
- Secure Core double-hop servers and the Stealth protocol
- Priority support and live chat
Proton Unlimited: 50% Off for 1 Year
Unlimited is the full Proton bundle. Normally $12.99 a month, it drops to $6.49 a month, billed as $77.88 for the first year. On top of VPN Plus you get Proton Mail, Calendar, Pass (password manager) and Drive with 500 GB of storage.
Only pick Unlimited if you will really use Mail or Pass. If you just want a VPN, VPN Plus is the better deal by far.
How Much Do You Really Save?
- VPN Plus vs monthly: 24 months at $9.99 = $239.76. Black Friday price = $59.76. You save $180.
- VPN Plus vs the usual 2-year deal: normally 65% off at $3.49/mo ($83.76). Black Friday saves you another $24.
- Proton Unlimited: 12 months at $12.99 = $155.88. Black Friday price = $77.88. You save $78.
What Happens When the Deal Ends?
Your plan renews automatically at the standard price unless you cancel. For VPN Plus that is $83.88 every 12 months after the first 24 months. For Unlimited it is $119.88 every 12 months after the first year.
Tip: set a reminder a week before renewal. Proton runs sales again around New Year, so you can often switch to a fresh deal instead of paying full price.
Who Can Get the Proton Black Friday Deal?
Proton says the partner Black Friday offer is for new users. If you already pay for Proton, this exact offer will not apply to your account. All discounts are based on the regular monthly price ($9.99 for VPN Plus, $12.99 for Unlimited).
Which Proton Deal Should You Pick?
- You only need a VPN: VPN Plus, 2 years. Biggest discount, lowest monthly cost.
- You want private email, storage and a password manager too: Proton Unlimited.
How to Claim the Deal (3 Steps)
- Open the Proton VPN Black Friday deal.

Is Proton VPN Worth It at This Price?
For most people, yes. At $2.49 a month you get a Swiss-based VPN with open-source apps, a no-logs policy checked in independent audits, Secure Core servers and the Stealth protocol for networks that block VPNs.
The downsides are small: the monthly plan is pricey outside of sales, and renewal costs more than the deal. Read our full Proton VPN review or see what Reddit users say about Proton VPN before you buy.
Proton VPN Black Friday vs Other VPN Deals
Most big VPNs also cut prices for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so price alone is close. The difference is trust. Proton’s apps are open source and its audits are public, while several rivals keep their audit reports behind a login or an NDA. Comparing options?
