Astrill VPN price per month by plan
| Plan | Per month | Billed | Savings vs monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | $30.00 | $30 every month | 0% |
| 1 year | $15.00 | $180 once | 50% |
| 2 years | $12.50 | $300 once | 58% |

All three plans include the same features: every server, every protocol (StealthVPN, OpenWeb, OpenVPN, WireGuard), 5 devices at once, apps for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android and routers. The only thing that changes is how long you commit.
One catch: the apps only work with an active plan. Astrill even asks you to log in before it lets you download the desktop app.

Prices checked in October 2026 on Astrill’s official site and may change. The deal page sometimes shows extra promotions for new accounts.
Add-ons that raise the monthly price
| Add-on | Extra per month | Who needs it |
|---|---|---|
| Private IP | $5 each | Remote workers who need a fixed IP for whitelisting |
| VIP add-on | From $10 | Gamers and heavy users: priority traffic, multi hop, optimized servers |
Most people need neither. Skip them unless you have a specific reason.

App Store price is different
If you subscribe inside the iPhone app, you pay around $29.99 per month or $179.99 per year, and the account works only on iPhone and iPad. Buy on the website instead so one account covers all your devices. Setup steps are in our Astrill iPhone guide.
Why is Astrill so expensive?
Astrill costs several times more than mainstream VPNs. What you pay for is a connection built for censored networks like China. Its own StealthVPN and OpenWeb protocols, its own bare-metal servers and 24/7 support are the product. If you only want Netflix abroad or coffee shop privacy, a cheaper VPN does the job.
Astrill vs other VPNs: monthly cost
Mainstream VPNs like NordVPN, ExpressVPN and Proton VPN cost a fraction of Astrill on their long plans. They are fine for streaming and public Wi-Fi. Astrill only earns its price if you need a VPN that keeps working in China or on heavily blocked networks.

How to pay less for Astrill
- Pick the 2 year plan. $12.50 instead of $30 per month.
- Or the 1 year plan. $15 per month is still half the monthly price. See current prices.
- Share within your household. 5 simultaneous connections on one account.
- Skip the add-ons. VIP and Private IP add $5 to $10 or more a month. Most people never need them.
Refund policy: read this before paying
Astrill’s refund policy is short: all website sales are final. Its terms also say there is no refund if your ISP blocks the VPN. There is no free trial either. If you want to test it, buy the 1-month plan first and try it on the network you will actually use. Then move to the 2-year plan.
